About this listing
The Haunted Lafayette Hotel
The Lafayette Hotel was actually built upon the rubble of the Bellevue Hotel. The Bellevue was destroyed by a fire in 1916. The Lafayette was completed and opened in 1918 by the Hoag family. The Father Reno Hoag passed away in 1944 and then his son took over.
The paranormal activity didn’t begin until the son Durward Hoag passed away. It is say Durward frequents the 3rd floor and that’s where his apparition has been seen. A female spirit has also been seen in clothing of the early 1900’s.
Lightbulbs mysteriously break and flicker. The elevator does whatever it wants and also goes up to the roof by itself.
